Brave people

-What has been going on in last couple of weeks has been so important to all Iranians all over the world, no matter what political beliefs they have. I have been worried, concerned and at times excited myself. Basically I just watched CNN and some Persian satellite channels to get new about Iran and surfed Internet mainly for getting news about Iran. It seems that things have gotten slower but it does not mean that the movement is failed or ended. I think this brave movement of people in Iran is like a fire that is not going to cease that easy and that soon. I truly hope that people get a positive result out of all this and the blood of those innocent people that got violently killed does not get wasted.
I truly admire those brave young people in street or on top of their roofs speak up and ask for their rights! I never had that guts myself and I know lots of people around me that have never been this brave in their life. I hope this new young generation can really change things.
CNN has been covering Iran news very well but since last night the news is focused on Michael Jackson sudden death and people are redirected easily to another subject. Something about American people or may be most of the people in the world is that they have a short attention span and as soon as something new comes up every one just changes gears! Any way I hope that the whole world still pay attention to Iran news and what government is doing to innocent people!!
I have to say that I admire Mousavi for not backing off and still be persistent against all the pressures!

-I got sad when I heard about Michael Jackson death. He was a very talented artist and he did not have a very happy life especially last few years. They say that he had issues with his own identity and his look, he was a depressed person and used to take lots of prescription drugs which is very sad. When I heard news of sudden death of people especially young people I just think to myself that nothing is really worth any stress or worry, we all go sooner or later and what are these all the fuss about?
I have very happy memories of Micheal Jackson songs, when he became very famous I was 10 or 11 years old and almost everyone in Iran knew him, even people in far villages! I and my friends would try really hard to copy his dance moves and would watch his videos that were illegal in Iran over and over again! God bless his soul.
God bless the soul of all innocent Iranians (like Neda) that got killed for freedom in last couple of weeks too!
I wish there was no dictator in the world! What a wish?? But I am sure some day world would be free of dictators, they cannot last forever. People of the world are getting closer every day and they have examples to look up to and compare too. They just need to have a click on Internet to see if they are free enough or if they have enough rights!!!!

I'm a bit sad about the situation in Iran. I only heard what happened to Neda. But seeing so much bloodshed on the news I can imagine what happened.

It's not her photo on the front-page in the newspaper or the images on the TV-screen but where she stands for and where she died for that should impress.
She was a brave young woman in the streets demonstrating for their rights. Fair elections.
But no dictator can suppress a nation that wants change.

Take care in these "desperate" times,
Jan
