Panic!

-Yesterday around 11:00 am while I was working at my desk in the office, I felt a very sharp pain in my abdominal area over my bladder. I stood up and thought to go for a short walk may be I would get better but the pain got worse and I felt like I could walk no longer. I talked to my boss and he said if I wanted him to give me a ride home or Dr’s office but I said that I could drive myself. Any way I called my husband and he said he would come home immediately to take me to Dr. While I was driving I felt more pain and for matter of minutes I thought that I was losing my baby. All the bad thoughts attacked my mind. I was imagining myself and the baby dead and I was crying for my son, I was thinking to myself that what would happen to him if I die! I know I sound crazy but I never had such a pain before!
I guess when women are pregnant, they become more vulnerable. I am usually strong towards pain but this time I was panicking and important part of it was the fear of losing the baby. Any way my husband arrived same time as I arrived and took me to my Dr. He did different tests and even did an ultrasound and said that every thing looked normal. By the time he was checking me my pain was a lot better. He said some times you put more pressure on your self or baby pushes down and that cause these sort of pain.
Any way I can tell this was the first time in my life that I felt may be I am going to die and panic, not just for myself but mainly for my baby and my son and also my husband! It is amazing how mothers are so attached to their kids, even the one that is not born yet. Like nothing really mattered to me just my kids. I am glad that the pain is gone. I have to take it easier!

-My Mom came back from Iran last week. She told me again that was such a right decision for me not going to Iran . She said how hot it has been and every thing is so expensive these days. The price of stuff that she was telling me was like prices on items in US. The only difference is that in Iran people earn Rial (the currency of Iran ) not $$.
She was telling me that since AhmadiNejad is the president of Iran people are suffering from more inflation and how the gap between poor and rich has grown so fast!! The funny thing is that President Ahmadinejad was blaming powerful countries for creating more poverty and inequality in the world in his recent lecture at UN while he is ruling a country that lots of people are suffering from poverty and the gap between rich and poor is so deep! Again he was talking at UN like he is the president of Heaven! A country full of justice and equality. Two other very ridiculous things that he said in his lecture in Colombia university was “the women of Iran are the most free women in the world!!!!!!!” and there is no Gay in Iran !! I think he thought he was talking on April’s fool day so he could freely and openly lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank heaven Ocean, you and the baby are okay. It's a wise decision not to go to Iran afterall. It must be a big relief for you that your mother is back in the US...

You say that prices are going up in Iran. I think that the $ is getting weak. They say that it's the housingmarket (mortage) in the US.

Ocean, stay cool and calm and take care,
Jan
