Vacation

My two weeks vacation passed by so quick but it was fun. It was so hard to come back to work. I never felt so lazy to go back to work after a vacation! We went to a road trip towards northern Califonia, first stopped at Santa Barbara and stayed there overnight. It was a beautiful day. I like Santa Barbara a lot. It is little nice city with good crowd. The following day we went to Hearst Castle, an amazing Castle on top of very high hill so extravagant and elegant. It was beautiful and full of taste, the owner was William Hearst who passed away in 1950's and left that beautiful estate to her sons but maintaining the castle costs $ 10 Million dollars a year so his kids donated the castle to State of California to be used as a museum.

I think if I had inherited that castle I would never donate that!!

After visiting Hearst Castle we drove towards San Francisco. We had been to San Francisco but this time we decide to get a complete package of tours to see everywhere. It was a great idea and we saw places that we had not visited before. We sat on top open part of the city tour bus and it was so much fun for kids. San Francisco is always chilly so I had to wear scarf to stay warm on top of the bus!! We all had jackets. Mark twine has a famous statement about San Francisco's weather: "My coldest winter was my summer in San Francisco!" We are so spoiled in San Diego and I think I have never been to any place that has weather like San Diego, not too hot, not too cold and amazing breeze from ocean!

 But San Francisco is a beautiful city full of interesting building, great restaurants and beautiful architecture. Very live and very liberal.

After 3 days in San Francisco we drove to Carmel, one of the most beautiful places in California. We took kids to visit Monterey Aquarium which was very interesting. Part of the aquarium is built in the ocean and you see real live fish in the ocean right in front of your eyes. It was very educational too. Kids loved it. My older son especially is in an age that appreciates seeing new places and learning new things. He wanted our vacation to be longer but we drove back home after 5 fun days full of sightseeing and adventure. When we were back we still had few more days of vacation left, so I took them to zoo, Movies, beach and pool. I think it was a nice vacation. I cannot wait until next one!
