New Post!

-I met with one the co-workers of my last job couple days a go, she was telling me about the news of the pervious work place. One of the news sounded so interesting to me. She said one of the girls that was a manger, highly educated and was just one year older than me is trying to have baby through sperm bank program. I am sure that there are sperm banks in Europe but not in Iran . These sperm banks have different sperms from different men with their complete profile and picture for the couples that the man has a problem for having baby or the women that want to have baby but are not married or don’t have a partner! Apparently this young woman that I personally know well and have worked with her on some projects have decided to have baby through these sperm banks and thinks may be it will get too late to find the right guy for marriage and she wants to become a mom! I never knew anyone before that has tried to have baby this way! The interesting thing is that she is just 34 years old and it is still not too late for her to meet the right guy and have baby in natural way! I think her decision is very selfish. What about the poor baby, she/he will never know her/his dad! Plus raising a child without a partner help can be very difficult. Any way it seems people are getting more and more independent these days, even independent from mother of nature and it’s rules!!

- I was thinking to myself the other day that I wish I could freeze every thing related to me like my job, my family and be free for one year on my own with enough money to travel around with my best friends and have fun. Then come back and every thing would be exactly like the moment that I lefet like nothing has happened! Isn’t that just a great, crazy idea!

It is very Cold!!

-It is very cold here down in San Diego these days. An unusual cold weather.
Normally in winter time it is somewhere between 8-10 C early in the morning or night and during day 15-30 C!! Every one is so spoiled with this weather but this year is different, couple days a go my car’s thermometer was showing 0 C in the Morning!! For the first time after 8 years I missed the scarf on my head which was mandatory back in Iran. I guess having scarf in winter time is a positive mandatory rule for ladies in Iran!!!!!!!!!
I hope it gets warm soon!!!!!

-We went to Movie Theater over the weekend to see Acalypto, the latest Mel Gibson movie. He does not play in the movie though. He is the director and producer. The co-producer is an Iranian guy, named Farhad Safinia!! Majority of Iranians are very successful in US, they usually have good jobs and decent lives. In most of the medical buildings, especially in Southern California you see Iranian Doctors names and there are lots of Iranian engineers, lawyers, etc in big organizations but it is hard to get into Hollywood, you usually need connections! But recently I see Iranian names in Hollywood movies too, which is a great achievement! Any way I am happy that people from Iran are hard worker and successful here. I wish we could all live in our own original home land freely and build our own original land!!
Any way the movie was interesting but too violent! It was very bloody, so if you are very sensitive you should close your eyes in some scenes, what I actually did, but I think it was worth it to watch!

-Another news is I am working on my goal (I try to be a better person every day) and evaluate myself every night and think if was a better person today or not! Some times the answer is yes sometimes NO but I think it is a good practice!!!!!!!

A day off

Today is Martin Luther king's ( The Black civil right activist who fought a lot for black people’s right in US) memorial in US. We had the day off at work but my son's school was open and my husband needed to go to work. He told me to send our son to school and just enjoy my day off alone. I thought it was a good idea and I could be on my own after a long time.
Any way I took him to school later in the morning and went to get Manicure and Pedicure! I really needed that! Afterwards went to the mall for some little shopping and for lunch went to the beach with my Mom, we got pizza and ate it there in front of the ocean, it was a beautiful day but a little bit cold. I came back home and tried to take a nap but could not sleep so I though it's better to surf web and do some blogging before picking up my son from school!!
Last two days I was upset with my self because my son was in a defiant mood and did not listen to me and I got a little bit rough with him on Saturday. I gave him couple time outs and yelled at him, which I really don't like. I should control my anger better. Yelling is really bad but sometimes I just explode! If there is something that I really need to work on, that is controlling myself when I become very angry. Most of the time I can handle it but sometimes I just give in to anger, which is bad. I know every one gets angry every now and then for different reasons but controlling anger is very important and I can say that is an art. Any way I should become more patient and more self-controlled! I have a goal since yesterday, every day that I wake up I try to be a better parson than the day before! I know sometimes is hard and is forgettable but I want to work on it hard!

New Year!!

-We Went to Las Vegas for New years’ holiday! We took my mother-in-law with us so at night she and my son can stay in the hotel together! It was very crowded. At New Year ’s Eve there were about 300,000 people in the Las Vegas strip (the main famous street).
Majority of people were very drunk and crazy! Some girls were acting crazier than guys, for example they would show their breasts to every one! My husband filmed some of their craziness!!!!!!!!!! It was an interesting experience to be in Las Vegas at New Year! But I don’t think I am going to take my son to Las Vegas any time soon. It is a tiring trip for kids. When I asked him did you like Las Vegas, he said “NO”. he said I liked France and air plane more!!!!!!

-Every one has been talking about Sadam’s execution in last couple of days. I was happy that he got what he deserved but I think they should have prosecuted him for all the crime he committed like what he did to Iran. No one even mentioned that he bombed south of Iran with Chemical bombs and we still have people suffering from cancer in that region due to chemical bombing. Some people believe they executed him quick so they would not need to prosecute him for other crimes that he committed because then they needed to investigate who really gave him those bombs!! Any way I hope all dictators get what they deserve! He was not the first one and he won’t be the last one either.

I hope every has a great new year and hopefully this year will be more peaceful and prosperous for the whole world!!
