-I cannot believe that the first month of 2011 is ending in couple of days and my younger son turns 3 years old on Sunday. He is fully potty trained now. For people who have kids know how big of a challenge is potty training. Any way I cannot believe time flies this fast. He is very cute boy and very talkative, speaks both Farsi and English very well.

-My older brother is getting married for the 4th time!! I cannot believe him, he is a risk taker for sure. We are so different from each other. He is marrying one of my cousins in Iran!! He just went for a vacation and now we hear they are in love and they are planning to get married!! That is kind of crazy to me. My cousin is about 17 years younger than him and they are a very rich family, I don’t think she is marrying him for green card! But what is the explanation to this kind of marriage, plain love? I hope this time he will be happy and they live happily ever after!!

-One of my friends from Iran that I know her since elementary school has come to U.S for visiting. She will come to San Diego to spend few days with me next week. Last time that I saw her was 10 years ago, I am excited to see her again.

-The world news is very rebellious these days, demonstration and riots in Tunisia, Egypt and now Yemen Good for Tunisians, they could get rid of dictatorship, I hope they don’t fall for any kind of Islamic system, like what Iranians did 32 years ago. When we are going to hear this news again about Iran? With all these execution news these days from Iran, It needs lots of courage for people to go to the streets again. I truly hope that Iranians become free again.

Happy new Year

-Happy New Year to everyone. I hope that this New Year is a better year for the whole world, more prosperity and more peace.
My husband and I took some time off to spend time with kids during holidays and 3 of us got sick :( but in overall it was good to be home with kids. It was so hard to go back to school and work on Monday though.
My resolution for this New Year is almost same as last couple years. Be more present and easy going. Life is too short and it is not worth it to worry too much especially on little things. I want to be kinder and more patient than ever especially towards my loved ones. Recently I feel how life is too short more than any time in my life. This New Year was the first New Year that I asked my husband how many more New Years do you think we will see? So just live life to the fullest and do not worry too much, bring more smiles to other people faces and let go of little disturbances of life.

-I heard very sad news yesterday about Prince Alireza Pahlavi and his suicide, I got really sad. Especially for his mother. I think she is one of the most unfortunate queens of history. She lost her crown, her home, her husband, her younger girl (she committed suicide 9 years ago) and now her younger son. How much one can take in a life time? I am so sorry for her loss.
