Misc

I have been busy and at the same time lazy to update my blog recently. I have been very willing to right though.
Anyway today I thought I have to write again. There were so many different subjects on my mind that I liked to talk about but in last few weeks, from Olympic to politics but every time I Just postponed wring about them.
-The summer is ending. It was a fun summer. We went to beach and pool a lot. It was a hot summer for San Diego but no complain. This is one of the best cities on earth! I took last week off to spend more time with kids before school starts. My older son has started 4th grade. Time flies. The little one is born in January so he should be in pre-school one more year before being able to go to kindergarten. He is very sad because almost all of his friends have already started Kindergarten and he does not see them at school any more. Poor thing, he cries every morning before going to school. I think long vacations in summer time, made him lazy to go back to pre-school too.
-It is just two months left to election in U.S. and the Republican national convention has been held this week. I truly hope president Obama wins this election again otherwise we will move backward. Republicans will start new wars and will give more breaks to rich people. Something that really bothers me is that how they use churches in every election to manipulate people and make them vote for themselves. One of the biggest things that they always push on is abortion. They just tell people, that Democrats are for abortion and sin, so don't vote for them and lots of stupid people ignore lots of other facts and just stress on abortion and do not vote for democrats. Over the lunch today I was talking to my co-worker who is an in dependent but votes for democrats. She is a church goer and when I asked her what she thinks about this election, she was telling me that "I am disappointed at Obama making employers including churches to pay for abortion in case an employee needs it. That's why I am not sure if I am going to vote for him." I said, "You have to look at the big picture, I know some people are very sensitive about abortion but that should not stop you from voting for a better candidate. No one is forced to do abortion, it is a personal choice. There are some scenarios that a woman is better off to get abortion than raising a child that she cannot support. What happens to that child, being in streets, and not getting right education and support and end up being a criminal? What if a woman is raped?" She did not have a clear answer for me; she was insisting that Bible says so!! Anyway, I wish religions would leave people alone!! Most of the problems, wars and divisions between nations and people are based on their religions, because people do not think for them, it is easier for them that a Mullah, priest, Rabbi, etc., thinks for them and decide for them!
Vote for President Obama!
